Maple syrup with a little cayenne stirred in, for a sweet, warm topping on pancakes and waffles or a quick glaze for pork.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup maple syrup pure maple syrup, not pancake syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper powder

Instructions

  • In a glass bowl, combine the syrup and cayenne pepper powder and stir well.
  • Serve right away, or cover and refrigerate. Stir again before each use, since the cayenne settles.
