Doubling down on smoke…
Sure chipotle peppers in adobo sauce are smoky enough in their own right, but to really deliver on the promise of this recipe’s name, smoked paprika is added into the mix, too. It’s a doubling down on smoky chili pepper ingredients to bring both that rustic earthiness and a nice dose of heat. Try it on sandwiches or simply as a dipping sauce.
Smoky Chipotle Sauce
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 chipotle pepper in adobo sauce
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- Pulse blend all ingredients with a food processor until smooth and fully combined, then serve.
To lower the heat, halve the the amount of chipotle pepper used.
