Chipotle Chicken Fajitas

Fun, flavorful, and fast. That’s chipotle chicken fajitas. They are a triple threat come meal time. Smoky, fiery, and spiced just rightโ€”and they take just 30 minutes to make. This is a fun option for families who enjoy a little fieriness in their meals.

The star of the show is the chipotle pepper in adobo sauce. Chipotle peppers are smoke-dried jalapeรฑos, known for their smoky, sweet flavor and low-medium heat (the same as a jalapeรฑo, 2,500 to 8,000 Scoville heat units.) When combined with the tangy, savory adobo sauce, it creates a rich, complex flavor that is truly irresistible. Both the chopped pepper and the adobo sauce are added to the dish, infusing every bite with their distinctive taste.

The spices used in this recipe provide even more depth. The oregano adding a hint of aromatic earthiness, the chili powder and paprika providing a touch more heat, the garlic powder enhancing the savory notes, and the cumin adding a warm, earthy touch.

And the timing certainly makes this a keeper for weekday meals. Thirty minutes from kitchen to plate is perfect for busy days where every minute matters.
