Delicious on chicken or ribs…
The mix of sweet and heat of this spicy honey BBQ sauce hits the spot. It’s perfect as a marinade for ribs or chicken when barbecuing. But don’t overlook the potential of this recipe as a dipping sauce. It’s total yum with chicken fingers. We also love it as a delicious bacon glaze to add some spice to breakfast time.
If you prefer this spicy honey BBQ sauce a little less sweet, lessen the amount of honey used instead of lessening the brown sugar. The brown sugar provides a bit of earthy depth to the sweetness. And, of course, if too spicy is a thing in your book…get a new book. Just kidding. Lessen the spice by reducing or removing the cayenne pepper from the recipe and opt for only chili powder. You could also opt for paprika instead of cayenne pepper as paprika is typically much milder.
